✻ The above rule also alludes to the 'no fighting' policy we'd like to keep.
✻ Spam = bad. Do it and die.
✻ Grammar is good. In and out of character. Using readable grammar makes your posts, well, readable.
✻ Images are great in your signature/avatar/posts... whatever. Please restrict your icon/signature space to your character only. Any images that stretch the board (even by one pixel) will be deleted no questions asked. So don't whine when your picture is gone. And don't put it back up.

✻ Once you register, please change your display name to your character's first then last names in lowercase. Example: john smith - not John Smith, or J. Smith, or jOhN sMiTh or JOHN SMITH. Ridiculous symbols should be saved for places other than your display name, as well.
✻ Don't register and go away without creating a character - Actually, don't register, create a character, and then go away, either. If you're going to register, create a character! Or what's the point of registering at all?
✻ If you leave your application unfinished for longer than a week with no explanation, we will believe you aren't coming back, and we will move it to the Old Applications - if you do come back, personal message us so you can finish it.
✻ All face claims are of the anime/manga genre. Real people, comics, webcomics, and original artwork are all banned. This includes Homestuck. Sorry. As is any other kind of art. Every character must have a face claim, too; if you need help, other members and staff can easily help out.
✻ If your character seems too perfect by our standards we will tell you to revise it. Mary-Sues and Gary-Stus aren't allowed. Neither are characters that are invincible. Don't even try.
✻ Characters that are unique and have depth are awesome. Average-Joe type characters are awesome, too, but the more original you can make them, the better! (And the more enthusiastic we will be about accepting them).
✻ Not all characters have to be pokemon. We realize that most will be; however, many older teachers or adults are too old to be pokemon and thus will be human. Team Rocket members might also make an appearance so don't freak out!

✻ We don't have a set word count limit, but that doesn't mean you can go around dropping one liners. A 300-500 word post is entirely manageable. Not required, of course, but manageable. If you are having trouble forming a single well-worded paragraph per post, there may be a problem...
✻ We are an intermediate-level role play. That means there are adult-ish themes. That doesn't mean there is sex or anything too graphic. Intermediate role plays are for confident writers with good grammar.
✻ Yes, this is a pokemon role play, that doesn't mean your character can go around doing things other characters can't - like blow up a building or kill another person. Character deaths are forbidden unless neatly planned out.
✻ Don't expect the perfect plot, please. This sounds silly, but a role play takes at least two members, and the other member may not have the same ideas as you. If something is straying way off track, notify them. If not, suck it up. We're sorry, but there's nothing the staff can do about that.
✻ Just because you know about upcoming events or other characters' secrets, doesn't mean you can bring that into the role play world. If it doesn't involve your character, they probably don't know about it.
✻ Don't even think about powerplaying around us.
